Assemblymember Dennis H. Gabryszak (D-Cheektowaga) announced today that The Lancaster Opera House will receive a Capital Project grant totaling $50,000 from New York State.
“The Opera House has been a staple of our community for over 100 years and this award will help ensure the house will continue to carry on its many traditions,” Assemblymember Gabryszak said. “Lancaster will continue to blossom as a community and the Opera House will remain a recognizable symbol of years gone by and a beacon of promise for years to come. I want to thank the state of New York for working with me to make this funding a possibility.”
The Lancaster Opera House plans to use the grant money for various projects including:
-Fireproofing of stage curtain
-Replacement of carpeting throughout foyer, hallways and staircase
