ReCharge NY Allocates Power to Lancaster Business

Assemblymember Dennis H. Gabryszak (D-Cheektowaga) announced today Jiffy-tite, a business in the 143rd Assembly district, was awarded 240 kilowatts of power during the 4th round of the 2012 allocations from ReCharge NY.

ReCharge NY was created by Governor Andrew Cuomo in 2011 to help the state’s economy by providing low-cost power to businesses and job creating entities. In total, 39 total businesses across New York were awarded funding. This allocation round is expected to spur over $680 million in economic activity across the state.

“Jiffy-tite was started in a garage over 40 years ago and has grown into a successful company that is an integral part of the Western New York economy,” Assemblyman Gabryszak said. “I commend the New York Power Authority for allocating power to Jiffy-Tite and other businesses upstate. With this power allocation, Jiffy-tite and other area businesses have a greater opportunity to expand in our region.”
